Innovative Hygiene-Focused Cable Technology

GLD Medical LLC was officially founded in 2021, but its mission began in 2015 with the heartbreaking loss of my grandfather, Jerry, to a Hospital Acquired Infection (HAI). That moment reshaped my life. I redirected my nursing career from Stroke RN to Infection Prevention & Control RN; immersing myself in the science and practice of stopping HAIs before they start.

Through years of frontline experience and collaboration with seasoned Infection Preventionists, I uncovered a troubling pattern: healthcare professionals struggled to consistently meet excellence in hand hygiene and equipment cleaning ─ two of the most critical defenses against HAIs.

To address this, I developed a QR-code-based platform that empowered teams to collect actionable data, identify gaps, and educate staff. This initiative, still active five years later, has transformed compliance culture across multiple departments.

 

But we didn't stop there.

 

In 2025, GLD Medical was awarded a groundbreaking U.S. patent for an antimicrobial innovation designed to combat contamination at the equipment level. With protection extending through 2044, this achievement represents a major step forward in infection prevention ─ integrating advanced antimicrobial technology into everyday systems across healthcare, food processing, and consumer industries.

GLD Medical is now poised to commercialize this technology through strategic partnerships, licensing, and co-development. Our goal is simple but urgent: elevate safety standards across industries and start saving lives!
